About Pros Don’t Panic

Knowing where you are in the pattern changes everything.

Price action rarely moves in a straight line but that is what most traders want and expect. The reality is that markets continuously move through repeating phases of trend and correction across multiple time horizons adhering to patterns few are aware of. Markets seem confusing because most participants don’t know what pattern or phase they’re in — or how long that phase is likely to last.

Pros Don’t Panic exists to decipher the patterns and bring structure, clarity, and expectation of the market to the trader who needs to make a decision.

The Philosophy Behind This Work

The goal of my work is not to predict every move.
It’s to answer a more useful question:

Where is this market in its larger structure, and what does that imply for direction and duration of the timeframe you are looking at?

When you understand that:

  • volatility stops being surprising

  • patience becomes intentional

  • decisions become calmer and more deliberate

That is why pros don’t panic.

About the Analyst

My name is Rich Oldham.

I’ve studied market patterns for more than 25 years, hold an MBA, and was trained in advanced, orthodox NEoWave pattern analysis by Glenn Neely, who is the most accomplished pattern analyst and one of the top 10 S&P timers for decades.

My work is rules-based and confirmation-driven, with a focus on Step 2 of the trading process: choosing market direction over a specific period of time.

That means understanding not just where price is likely to go, but how long a given phase is likely to persist — and when a change in behavior is becoming probable.

Why Structure and Time Matter

Either buyers or sellers are in charge for any given length of time. Many traders confuse short-term corrections with true changes of who’s in charge. Others remain positioned too early or too late because they lack duration context.

By analyzing markets across multiple degrees of time, my work helps distinguish:

  • if buyers or sellers are in charge at a given chart scale

  • if the price action is swimming with or against the larger current

  • noise from meaningful development

This doesn’t remove risk — but it does make sense of the changes in price action often before they occur.

How This Work Is Delivered

Through Pros Don’t Panic, I publish:

  • Weekly market structure updates

  • Analysis across global equities, crypto, macro, and Indian markets

  • Clear explanations of who’s in charge and pattern status and development

The analysis is delivered in a consistent, repeatable format so subscribers can focus on decisions — not deciphering charts.

You bring your own strategy, execution, and risk management.
This work supports your directional and time-based decision-making.

Who This Work Is (and Isn’t) For

Pros Don’t Panic is built for:

  • Traders and investors who value structure over opinion

  • Decision-makers who want context before committing capital

  • People who treat trading as a serious process, not entertainment

This is not:

  • A signal service

  • A shortcut to profits

  • A replacement for personal responsibility

Why I Publish This Work

I build all of the custom monowave line charts by hand and then analyze them so you don’t have to. Maintaining multi-degree structural analysis across 15+ markets requires time, discipline, and consistency.

I publish this work so subscribers can benefit from that effort without having to build, maintain, and interpret these structures themselves — and so they can approach markets with expectation instead of reaction.
