About Pros Don’t Panic
I break down the market charts so you don’t have to.
Each week, Pros Don’t Panic publishes structured, multi-timeframe analysis on major markets spanning stocks, crypto and the macro economy designed to help you understand:
Where a market sits within its larger pattern
Whether price is advancing with or against the dominant trend
What stage of development the current pattern is in
When clarity and probability are high — and when they are not
We do not provide trade entries or exits.
We do not manage positions.
We do not tell you what to buy or sell.
We provide structure, context, and directional insight — so you can make better decisions inside your own strategy.
I call it “Step 2”
Think about the trading process in 4 simple steps:
Choose a market
Determine the market’s direction for a specific time period
Enter the market
Exit the market
Pros Don’t Panic exists to solve one specific problem:
Step 2: Determining direction over time.
Before entries.
Before exits.
Get Step 2 right and your trading results get much better.
How This Is Different
Markets are not random.
People move in herds, and markets are a tick-by-tick record of that behavior — revealed through trend intensity and known patterns built from price and time.
Indicators only work at certain times. I focus on price and time, the only components that work in all phases of the market. Our work is built on proprietary charting methods that track how patterns evolve, rather than reacting to indicators after the fact.
That means:
No RSI, MACD, or indicator stacking
No reactionary signals
No hindsight-based narratives
Instead, I focus on market structure, pattern development, and probability — identifying when clarity is increasing and when patience is required.
Think of it like tracking a flight:
At takeoff, the destination is unclear.
As the flight progresses, possibilities narrow.
Near the end, the destination becomes obvious.
I act as air traffic control for the markets — so you don’t have to stress.

About the Analyst
My name is Rich Oldham.
I’ve studied market patterns for over 25 years and was trained in advanced pattern-analysis methodology by Glenn Neely of NEoWave.com. My work is orthodox, rules-based, and focuses on identifying where markets are within evolving structures — and what that implies for future direction over time.
In October 2019, I was tracking a developing pattern in the S&P 500 that suggested a substantial move over the following three months. Knowing my price and time (Step 2) I entered an options position and stayed with it through normal volatility. I exited the trade early in February 2020, just days before the market peaked, turning a $40,000 position into over $400,000 in three months.
That experience reinforced a simple truth:
Knowing where you are in the pattern changes everything.
I publish this work through Pros Don’t Panic so traders can benefit from structured analysis without having to build and maintain these charts themselves.
